John Wilkes is a former farmer from the English county of Shropshire, where he reared beef, sheep, pigs and fowl alongside various crops. A shift away from agriculture led to the ownership of an award-winning, sustainable Traditional Fish and Chips business in Southwest England. Since moving to the U.S. John has traveled the country extensively, consulting and writing for various publications including the UK’s Farmers Guardian newspaper and The Sheep Site. He is a member of the American Sheep Industry Association and a Board Member of The Livestock Conservancy.

John enjoys sharing insights and knowledge gained from time spent working the land and in the food industry with listeners at The Whole Shebang.
