Brighter Days Ahead Campaign Kickoff Dinner
On Friday, September 9, 2022, at 6:00 PM, Heritage Radio Network, Pay It Forward Charleston, and High Wire Distilling launch the Brighter Days Ahead campaign with a Kickoff Dinner at High Wire Distilling in Charleston, South Carolina. This fundraising experience will bridge hospitality, comfort, celebration, and human connection. The joint-benefit, fundraising event gathers extraordinary chefs, leaders, and producers under one roof for an unforgettable night with a purpose.
Starring High Wire Hat Trick Botanical Gin cocktails, the Brighter Days Ahead campaign brings together more than 25 Charleston-area bars and restaurants to feature the Hat Trick Botanical Gin cocktail on their menus until September 25. A portion of the sales of the unique cocktails benefits Pay It Forward Charleston's Emergency Relief Fund. Pay It Forward Charleston stands with those in the food and beverage communities and is committed to “serving those who serve us” via grants to hospitality workers.
The Kickoff Dinner at High Wire Distilling will begin at a welcome reception with snacks and special cocktails by Megan Deschaine. Then, star chefs Zahra Tangorra (Brucie, Zaza Lasagna), Vivian Howard (Lenoir, Handy and Hot, PBS's A Chef's Life), and Jacques Larson (Wild Olive, The Obstinate Daughter) will serve a multi-course meal with music by members of Charleston's The Terraphonics, Motown Throwdown, and more. Wines will be provided by Grassroots Wine with zero-proof options available.
Emcee of the night Zahra, and her co-host (and mother) Bobbie Comforto, of HRN's podcast Processing, will share stories of Pay It Forward's impact in a special episode to air ahead of the event.
