Dinavie is a candidate for a Master of Arts in Food Studies at New York University, with a concentration in Food Media & Cultural Analysis. She received a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and a minor in Human Complex Systems from the University of California, Los Angeles, where she was a copy editor for the Daily Bruin. Before moving to New York City, she spent a year assisting the coordination of a Los Angeles farmers market and urban garden program, which was a joint effort between two local nonprofits to prevent the neighborhood from becoming a food desert. She also currently works as restaurant critic Gael Greeneā€™s assistant and hopes to build her career influencing the public discourse on food.
