King Cake Season

Mardi Gras season in full swing in New Orleans and along with it comes King Cake season! We wanted to talk to a local New Orleans chef about what makes King Cakes so special and how we can get the real deal delivered right to our doorstep in Brooklyn, so Sam Lee reached out to Chef John Caluda of Caluda King Cakes in New Orleans.  She talked to him about the tradition of King Cakes, how native New Orleanians feel about them and how he feels about them when he’s making 1,500 in a day.
