Tell Me More!
Taco Bell has announced that they are discontinuing sales of kids meals and toys, at all of their US locations, by January 2014, making them the first national quick service restaurant chain, to voluntarily do so. Based on insignificant sales coming from their kids meal options, could this be the death of the kids meal? How can we better improve our current kids meals in our food industry today, or should we simply take them off our menus? We talked with Dr. Marion Nestle, Erica Wides, Chris Arnold, and others, to learn more on this week's episode of Tell Me More.
"This whole concept in America that we think that our kids are somehow incapable of eating and enjoying real food is a really bad precedent. The most responsible way to do it is to offer much smaller portions."
