Tom Philpott is the food and agriculture reporter for Mother Jones. Prior to that he was at Grist for five years. His work on food politics has appeared in Newsweek, Gastronomica, and the Guardian. He is also a host on the new podcast The Secret Ingredient with Raj Patel and Rebecca McInroy, as well as The Bite, a podcast developed for Mother Jones Magazine.
