Dana Cowin, Editor in Chief of Food and Wine Magazine, is in the studio this week on Taste Matters! Speaking with host Mitchell Davis, Dana talks to us about her role as Editor in Chief, and how the magazine is constantly changing as a result of new technology today. This includes reinventing her magazine through the use of e-readers and tablets, increasing the usage of social media, and learning how to translate her articles into the lifestyle that surrounds food. Dana also talks about having a career in the food industry that doesn’t include working directly with food, but rather finding her calling through journalism and social media. At the magazine, Dana looks to capture recipes from dishes of successful chef’s, and finds ways to adapt them so that they can become accessible to the home cook. Dana also talks about her latest book, Mastering My Mistakes in the Kitchen set to publish in 2014. Tune-in to learn more today! This program has been sponsored by Fairway Market.
“It used to be you only found great food in the big cities. Today, you can find great chefs all across America.” [05:03]
