Anne Saxelby is the founder and co-owner of Saxelby Cheesemongers, New York City's first shop dedicated to selling only American artisan cheeses. Anne has worked as a cheesemonger, cheesemaker, and affineur over her 15-year career in the cheese world. She got her start as a cheesemonger behind the counter at the famed Murray’s Cheese in Greenwich Village. Saxelby then apprenticed as a cheesemaker on small farms in the US and in France to learn more about the cheese making process and the agricultural side of cheesemaking. Saxelby Cheesemongers has a retail shop in the Chelsea Market, and also has a wholesale operation that curates cheese for over 100 fine restaurants and shops in New York City and beyond. She also hosted more than 100 episodes of HRN's show Cutting the Curd.
