A Taste of Japan Eats!
For one night only, Wednesday, January 17 from 6:00 - 8:30 p.m., Japan Eats! is coming to life, and you'll have the opportunity to mingle with Akiko and some of her favorite guests and friends. We'll have some incredible small bites and beverages available, so you can get a taste of Japan. All food and beverage included in ticket price:
– Kaiseki by Naoki (Soba Rice Risotto with Seasonal Mushrooms, Fried Tuna & Samon Skewers)
– Spicy Dan Dan Ramen and Gyoza by Makoto Suzuki (Samurai Papa, Brooklyn Ball Factory)
– Sake & Sapporo Beer from Wine of Japan
– Shochu from Stephen Lyman of Kampai!
Plus, Ruri Kippenbrock of Wuhao will have her amazing Tenugui (thin Japanese scarves) for sale! (You may have seen them at Sumo Stew.) *Tengui not included in ticket price.
Japan Eats! is a weekly podcast hosted by Akiko Katayama, a Japanese native, New York-based food writer and director of the New York Japanese Culinary Academy. Her guests range from a sake producer whose family has centuries of sake-making history, to a great American chef who pushes the envelope of Japanese cuisine.
