Cold Nights, Hot Cocktails

One of our favorite things about winter is the return of hot cocktails! From the traditional hot toddy to coffee cocktails – it’s great to have a few solid recipes in your repertoire for long, cold nights. With help from our friends at Copper & Kings, we’ve rounded up three recipes that will fit any occasion.

Brave-And-Strong

Weekend Brunch: “Brave & Strong”

Ingredients:
1.5 oz. Copper & Kings American Craft Brandy
.5 oz. Vanilla Cream
Heine Brothers Hot Coffee

Tools You'll Need:
Jigger

Directions:
Add Brandy and Vanilla cream to mug. Top with hot coffee. Enjoy!

Cold-Days-From-the-Birdhouse

Ingredients:
1.5 Oz Copper & Kings Un-Aged Apple Brandy
.5 Oz Honey Syrup
Yerba Matte Tea

Tools You’ll Need:
Jigger
Citrus peeler

Directions:
In a coffee mug, steep yerba matte in hot water for five minutes. Remove tea bag. Add brandy and honey syrup. Stir briefly to incorporate all ingredients. Garnsih with a grapefruit peel.

Chocolate-On-My-Tongue

Indulgent Night-Cap: “Chocolate on my Tongue”

Ingredients:
1.5 oz Copper & Kings Vapor Distilled Lavender Absinthe
4-5 oz Hot Chocolate
Pumpkin Pie Spice Whipped Cream*

Tools You’ll Need:
Bar Spoon
Jigger
Toddy Mug

Directions:
Warm a toddy mug with hot water. Discard the water, and build ingredients in the mug, stirring to incorporate. Garnish with whipped cream.

 

*Pumpkin Pie Spice Whipped Cream

Ingredients:
12 oz Heavy Cream
2 tbs Sugar
1 tbs Pumpkin Pie Spice

Directions:
Whisk until cream reaches stiff peaks.
