Nominated by: The Line

When Erin Patinkin co-founded Ovenly, a New York bakery chain, she realized that she could combine her love for food with her passion for social justice. As the company’s co-CEO, she has pioneered sustainable retail practices, and created a good jobs strategy to provide comprehensive benefits and access to opportunities for marginalized communities. She is also dedicated to helping overlooked entrepreneurs through the forthcoming Seemore Meats & Veggies, launching in 2020. As a leading voice in conscious capitalism, Erin has appeared in the Wall Street Journal, Forbes, and Eater, among others, and has been named as one of the most “badass women in food” by Zagat, as a “world-changing woman” by Conscious Company magazine, and one of the Cherry Bombe 100.
