It’s been an incredible year in food media. From The James Beard Awards embracing diversity like never before to the overwhelming number of cookbooks with the potential to become classics, the past twelve months have given us plenty to be inspired by.

Here at HRN, we’re reflecting on our year of #foodradio. Some of our highlights this year included inspiring conversations across the country – from Charleston Wine + Food to Feast Portland. We also covered some of the hardest-hitting food stories of the year, including the devastating effects of climate change, seen in this year’s hurricanes and wildfires, the rise of the #MeToo movement, and the tragic passing of Anthony Bourdain.

With 35+ weekly shows, we produced hundreds of hours of podcasts this year. As we look back on our 2018 archives, here are a few episodes from across the network that are worth a first (or second) listen.
