Summer is finally in sight, and that means we’re looking for our new favorite scoop shop. Sarah Strong checked out Alphabet Scoop, a job training program within a just renovated ice cream shop in Manhattan’s East Village. She spoke with the shop manager and one of the young adults in the job training program about ice cream and its life lessons.

Alphabet Scoop is located at 543 East 11th Street between Avenues A and B and is open Wednesday through Sunday. Find out more about the shop here and be sure to also check out Father’s Heart Ministries, whose programs benefit from Alphabet Scoop’s profits, here.

Thank’s to Alphabet Scoop for letting us use these before and after photos.
