Annie was born and raised in central Illinois, but left the corn fields to study in Boston. Throughout school, she maintained her love of food by force feeding her roommates different variations of dorm-kitchen vegan cheese. Annie went on to work with a cook at a drug rehab center, which sparked her interest in healing through food. She moved to New York to attend culinary school, focusing on medicinal cooking. Newly graduated, she now works at a vegetarian Ayurvedic restaurant. She strongly believes both pears and pineapple-upside-down cake are underrated, enjoys inspirational notes on tea bags, and although growing up she originally wanted to be a cranberry farmer, she is now excited to pursue a career in food media!
