Elba Tamara is a native New Yorker with a deep passion for the city and always on the hunt for interesting bars, breweries and restaurants. She is currently a contributing reporter of food and features for the Bronx Times and working towards her M.A. at the Craig Newmark School of Journalism with a focus on Arts & Culture, specifically food journalism. With 11 years of experience in the bar/restaurant industry, Elba Tamara strives to shine a light on the delicious and diverse food scene of the Bronx and encourages foodies to get out of their comfort zone and explore the borough. She will lovingly cook for anyone who asks her to and her prized possession is her Takamura chef knife.
