Phil arrived in New York in 2008, having worked for two of London’s most notable events and catering companies. He co-founded New York based creative agency Silkstone, with childhood best friend Ben Towill in 2008. Under Silkstone hospitality group, Phil owns and operates luxury catering & production arm, Silkstone Events, along with a handful of top New York restaurants, and international projects. Phil designed and co-opened The Fat Radish in 2010, which has become one of New York’s leading seasonal restaurants. The Fat Radish creates and serves delicious yet simple food, based around vegetables and seasonality, sustainable products and local sourcing. From its success came the newly published cookbook, The Fat Radish Kitchen Diaries. In the years following, Phil lead the design of the hotspot Ruschmeyers in Montauk, The Leadbelly Oysters & Cocktail Bar, and uptown dining staple The East Pole. He has produced a variety of original events all over the world, including large scale dinners in the Nevada desert to a pop-up restaurant in the 10th arrondissement during Paris Fashion Week, then would find a home during the World Cup in Rio de Janeiro via Casa Fat Radish, accompanied Tory Burch to Shanghai & traveled to Tel Aviv for Round Tables by American Express. Phil continues to find inspiration from his love of family, travel and culture. He currently resides in New York City.
