Rana Roudi
Research and Radio Intern (she/her)
Rana’s love for food came naturally growing up in a Persian-American household, with parents who are always eager to travel and explore different flavors through cooking and new restaurants. As her love for food developed, so did her curiosity about people and she became fascinated with food as a lens into culture and as a tool to understand the geopolitical history of a place. While studying at ASU, she explored this in her honors thesis titled, “Food as a Vehicle to Break Down Barriers”. Now in San Francisco, Rana has leaned in to her love for bringing people together over food, throwing dinner parties often, attempting new recipes, and exploring tiny hole in the wall restaurants around the foggy city. She’s excited to learn the makings of a podcast at HRN and to lean into her passions of interviewing and diving deeper into the food scene!
