Naomi Duguid, an intrepid traveler, food writer and photographer, has spent her life traveling and documenting the greater part of Southeast Asia. Her books, including Burma: Rivers of Flavor and Taste of Persia, explore daily home-cooked foods in their cultural context, through stories, recipes and photos, and have helped introduce the true cuisines of India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Vietnam, greater China, and Burma (aka Myanmar). Her next book, tentatively titled Joy of Salt, will be published by Artisan. Naomi also conducts annual immersive small-group food tours in northern Thailand and the Republic of Georgia.
