HRN Hall of Fame: Nicole Taylor

Nominated by: A Hungry Society

Nicole Taylor is a former HRN host, who effervescently blended her knowledge of Southern food cooking with coverage of the burgeoning Brooklyn food scene, on the show Hot Grease. Because she’s always willing to listen to writers of color and give advice as they navigate the food world, she has become a pillar of the food writing community, as well as a mentor for young Black culinarians, as the director of special projects at Brownsville Community Culinary Center.

Appearances on HRN:

A Hungry Society: Nicole Taylor on Southern Dining, Food Media and Being an ‘Upsouth’ Cook
Eat Your Words: Up South Cookin’
