Every year around Christmastime, thousands of people opt for artificial Christmas trees for their homes, citing the trees’ re-usability as environmentally friendly. But Mary Jeanne Packer of the Christmas Tree Farmers Association of New York tells Erin Fairbanks why a real tree is actually better for the earth, and for people.
