The Culinary Institute of America's Greystone campus in Napa Valley, California, hosted it's 17th annual Worlds of Flavor conference, with a focus on Asia, and the theater of world menus. Flavor discovery, culture, innovation, and style were all overriding themes, brought together by chefs from around the world to exchange food, and knowledge, on what was once considered "fusion", and has now redefined the role of cultural identity. From Korean kimchi to Cajun/Creole cooking, Japanese kaiseki to California cuisine, hear how Asian ingredients and mantras, have inspired our global palate. Heritage Radio Network's very own Michael Harlan Turkell attended the conference and interviewed many of the prominent names in asian fusion cuisine. This program was brought to you by Heritage Radio Network.
