Despite record stock market highs, one in six New York City residents struggles against hunger, and more than 9 out of 10 local feeding charities face longer lines as a result of federal cuts to SNAP, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program, according to the 2014 Annual Hunger Survey of the New York City Coalition Against Hunger.
