Raj Patel is a an award-winning writer, activist, and academic. He is a revolutionary thinker about food systems, and a tireless advocate for improving agriculture and food access. Raj co-taught the 2014 Edible Education class at UC Berkeley, will fellow HOF nominee Michael Pollan. He is a member of the International Panel of Experts on Sustainable Food Systems, and has testified about the global food crisis to the US House Financial Services Committee. His books include Stuffed and Starved: The Hidden Battle for the World Food System, and The Value of Nothing.
