Rita Jammet is one of the most respected people in the hospitality industry, and a pioneer of French food and beverage. Along with her husband, André, Rita helped run La Caravelle, an acclaimed classic French restaurant in NYC, for over 40 years. After it closed its doors post 9/11, Rita was determined to find a new passio, and she did—Champagne! She is the owner, ambassador, and Chief Bubble Officer of La Caravelle Champagne, and formed Bouquet Ventures Hospitality Consulting in New York in 2004. Rita is also a member of Les Dames d’Escoffier NY. She was awarded the Order of Agricultural Merit by France’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food.
