At HRN, we have always understood the importance of virtuous food chains. There is no better market to walk through in the U.S.A. than the Bi-Rites in San Francisco, California. Owner Sam Mogannam runs two neighborhood Markets, a world-renowned Creamery, a catering operation, a small Sonoma farm, and the new Bi-Rite Café at Civic Center Plaza. He is also a co-founder of 18 Reasons, a nonprofit community cooking school and runs a Cooking Matters program, which offers free classes to low-income kids, teens and adults in the Bay Area. He's right there on the front lines working to improve our food system, and serve delicious nutritious sustainable food to everyone he can.
