In celebration of HRN's 15th anniversary on the airwaves, we're bringing outstanding food and music experiences to HRN Members across the U.S. while empowering the next generation of food systems storytellers through our 15th Anniversary Tour.

When you donate at least $75 to HRN by March 31, you'll be entered to win dinner and concert tickets for two in a city of your choice from a curated list of exciting destinations. Cities like Los Angeles and Asheville include incredible extras for winners, like more delicious meals and overnight stays.

All donations help to fund our educational mission. We’re working to create new possibilities for unheard and underestimated voices through our education initiatives—transforming lives, diversifying industries, and growing the scope of food stories broadcast to the world. High school students, college students, and professionals early in their careers participate in our Research & Radio Program, HRN Radio Scholars, and The Julia Child Foundation Food Writing Fellowship.

Participants in all programs receive invaluable hands-on radio and podcast production experience, access to food industry leaders, and mentorship from experts in their fields. Win in Asheville

Asheville, North Carolina

In 2009, Chef Meherwan Irani (who grew up in Ahmednagar, in the midwestern state of Maharashtra in India) opened Chai Pani with his wife and business partner, Molly. It was the bottom of the great recession, but they had a crystal clear vision of what Chai Pani could be: They’d serve street food and home-cooked meals — the most underrepresented Indian foods in Western culture — by way of the unparalleled hospitality modeled to Meherwan as a child in his parents’ bed & breakfast.

Botiwalla is chef Meherwan Irani’s homage to the lively Irani Cafes of India – tea and kabab houses run by Parsis who immigrated to India in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

Spotlighting Asheville’s diverse music and arts scene, AVLFest will once again fill area concert halls, clubs, and outdoor venues alike with an exceptional lineup of local, regional, and national talent featuring a multitude of artists and performers! Performance showcases are set to take place Thursday, August 1 through Sunday, August 4. (Thanks goes to Asheville Independent Arts + Music (iamavl) for their donation of two tickets to this years AVLFest).

Win in Charleston

Charleston, South Carolina

Once a humble corner bistro, FIG has blossomed into one of the Southeast’s top culinary destinations. The staff is passionate and polite. The room is simple and modern. The menu is creative and seasonal.

From May 24 to June 9, Spoleto Festival USA fills Charleston, South Carolina’s historic theaters, churches, and outdoor spaces with performances by renowned artists as well as emerging performers in opera; theater; dance; and chamber, symphonic, choral, and jazz music.

Win in Las Vegas

Los Angeles, California

Built on the foundation of a family, Gjelina Group creates hospitality experiences delivered from a place of purpose, with simplicity. Named for founder Fran Camaj’s mother, Gjelina opened on Abbot Kinney Boulevard in 2008, serving locally-sourced, produce-forward food and becoming a staple in the Venice community.

Rolling Stone contributor Frank Schruers ranked The Wiltern among the top five music venues in Los Angeles. “It reminds me of the old days, being on the road for Rolling Stone and going to some classic Deco theater,” says Schruers. As soon as you step into The Wiltern, you’re welcomed by an architectural masterpiece designed by Anthony B. Heinsbergen. Murals adorn the walls, guiding you toward a zig-zag style molding, inspired by the sun.

BONUS! Overnight stay: Vitorrja is a hotel, guest house, and event space from the Gjelina Group, located one block from the Boardwalk and Beach in Venice, CA. Their rooms are uniquely designed with an appreciation for the handmade and personalized—with custom furnishings, vintage finds, and design-driven details layered throughout the guest rooms, outdoor courtyard, and shared spaces.
