Welcome to… Taste of the Week!
This week at Heritage Radio Network, we’re excited to introduce a brand-new podcast that blends storytelling, culture, and pure culinary joy.
Next up, we’re marking a milestone worth savoring. One of our most flavorful shows is hitting a major anniversary—and you’re invited to be part of the celebration.
Tune in and see what’s cooking at HRN—because the future of food always starts with a story.
Featured Episode:
Farm to Table Talk
Host Katherine “Kae” Sprung wears many creative hats: she’s the founder of Squish Marshmallows, a commercial voice actor, an award-winning pastry chef, and a content creator with a serious sweet tooth.
Over the years, Kae and her marshmallow magic have appeared everywhere from Refinery29 and Cosmopolitan to Eater and Forbes. She was also selected for Marie Claire’s 2019 Power Trip and took home the win on Food Network’s Chopped Sweets.
Her newest project, Sprung On Food, is a podcast and digital series where food is the star of the show, whether it’s a dish with legendary status or something pulled straight from the soil.
In each episode, Kae chats with a guest about a food they love, digging into its unexpected backstory and the cultural impact it’s had along the way.
The show is part history lesson, part pop-culture dive, and fully delicious delivered with Kae’s signature warmth and wit.
In the latest episode, Kae sits down with voice actor Bex Marsh to explore the beloved Korean classic bibimbap. Bex shares her personal connection to the dish, from growing up in Nebraska to reconnecting with bibimbap later in life for both comfort and health.
Together, they unpack possible origin stories, regional styles, and the cultural importance of this colorful bowl.
Give it a listen for a vibrant, thoughtful conversation about a dish that crosses cuisines, generations, and borders.
