It's Fat Tuesday, a day when many Christians around the world indulge before the fasting season of Lent begins on Ash Wednesday. In the United States, people typically associate Fat Tuesday with Mardi Gras celebrations in New Orleans, but for many Polish Americans, Fat Tuesday is Paczki Day.
Sam Lee wanted to find out more about what it's like to celebrate Paczki Day in the place that many see as the Paczki Day Capital: Hamtramck, Michigan. In the process, she found out about a band called the Polish Muslims and paczki bombs - which allow you to get fat and drunk at the same time!
