Rice Krispies: Jessica Siskin/Misterkrisp
Episode Ten. The cereal: Rice Krispies. The guest: Jessica Siskin/Misterkrisp. Misterkrisp is actually not a 'mister' at all. NYC-based food artist Jessica Siskin began making edible Rice Krispie Treat sculptures in December 2012 when she discovered that food coloring could be added to the recipe on the side of the cereal box. After making her first Rice Krispie Treat cheeseburger late one Sunday night instead of watching Homeland she continued to experiment with recipes, techniques, and designs, and Misterkrisp was born in October 2013. Jessica is inspired by her previous career in fashion, her love of food, everything pop culture, and the curiously curated library of emojis on her iPhone. When she isn't in the kitchen she's pursuing her master's degree in Creative Writing and systematically sampling every novelty ice cream flavor available in the tri-state area.
